Feeling Like Spring

Christmas was wonderful. But, it is over. The bit of winter we had: two weeks are so was enough. Now we want spring. We've packed up the last bit of holiday this and that and finished our Christmas clearance sale at 6 PM on December 31st. The store has been refreshed, re-arranged, re-merchandised, and we'll be posting some pictures as soon as we return from a little New Year's getaway. We are looking forward to 2009 with hope and optimism. We wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!

2008 Buiders Parade Of Homes

It's finally here. The builder's 2008 Parade of Homes. Missy and Dave Scholtfeldt of Universal Home Builders have built a beautiful home for this year's parade. Nest Feathers was pleased to be part of the project. The parade will run this Saturday and Sunday, September 6 and 7 and next weekend, September 13, and 14th. Tickets are still just $7.00 each and are for sale at all Sun Marts. We've taken a lot of photos which we will post at the conclusion of the parade. What hasn't sold of the art, furniture and accessories will be coming back to Nest Feathers. We'll crowd it all in until it's gone.

Add our Christmas Open House to your calendars. The festive event with food, etc. will be held on October 31, 2008. We realize that is Halloween evening. But, we'll be partying from 7 to 10 PM. So, turn out the lights after the candy gives out and come on over to Nest Feathers. ( Yes, of course, there will be lemon curd tarts and chocolate.) But, if October 31st is not convenient for you, we'll be open for business as usual on Saturday, November 1st with Christmas in full array.

Where we are at...

We frequently get calls asking us where we are. We are in Richland, but almost Kennewick, and not too far from Pasco, Washington. We are just past Steptoe on Gage Blvd., driving west from the Columbia Center Mall. We are across the street from the Bonefish Grill and nest door to the Newest Gesa Credit Union. Nest Feathers sells art, lamps, small pieces of furniture, home accents, birds, bird nests, bunnies and other interesting and often 'found' objects of interest to us and hopefully to you.

We Went Plum Purple

It was fun. We re-arranged the store. Re-did the displays, brought out tons of new merchandise and added the color purple. Some purple paint, purple fabric, wallpaper. Is it tasteful? You tell us.

We also addded a garden section. It is spring and we definetly can feel it in the air. The sun is shining, the air feels warmer. WE want flowers, flowers, flowers.

Monday, February 18, as soon as we open at 10, we'll take a lot of pictures and post them right here on our blog so you can take a peek OR come on in. We are open even though it's President's day and we'd like to be skiing.

We are about ready to re-arange the shop. New feathers have been sailing in. Our seamtress, Susan has been busy whipping up custom pillows. We're painting a couple of walls, doing a little wallpapering (yes, wallpaper is coming back, new and different and up-to-date). Watch this space for more details. The re-arrange should be complete by Saturday night. That's February 15th, 2008.

We have agreed to decorate a Builder's Parade Home. Dave and Missy are delightful to work with so we look forward to another pleasant experience with them. We plan to post pictures of the work in progress here on our Nest Feathers blog so you can watch it evolve.

We have had enough COLD, COLD, COLD... if it's possible to plant peas on Valentine Day, it better start warming up. Warm or not we're going fully into spring inside Nest Feathers, so if you are as spring feverish as we are, come on in.
